Ryan Marshall Mackey, 24, of Gypsy, passed away unexpectedly on November 20, 2021. Ryan was born in Fairmont on April 11, 1997 to John Jett III and Lisa Mackey. He is survived by his two children whom he adored, son Brentlee and daughter Rosaleen. He is survived by his parents, Lisa Mackey of Gypsy, John Jett and fiancé Ruthann Sampson of Worthington; brother Brandon Hinerman; grandmother Neva Cottrell; grandparents John and Kathy Jett, and grandparents Bruce and Sue Lanham; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother Timmy Mackey; grandpa Thomas Mackey; step-grandpa Charles Cottrell; and great-grandparents John Jett Sr. and Violet Jett; great-grandma Deloris Vance. Proceeded in death by Tara Toll and his great-grandfather Arthur Vance. Ryan was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish, ride his motorcycle, and be outside with his father. Ryan’s most important role was being a father to his two children. Friends will be received at Harmer Funeral Home on Monday, November 29 from 10-12. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12pm. Interment will be at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
