Joyce Elaine Hardrick Williams (Preferred to be called "Elaine") Born May 19, 1950 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Her mother was Roberta Hardrick (Deceased as of 1985) married to Abraham Hardrick (Deceased as of 1972) Elaine had a sister Mary Hughes Bedford and her brother William Hardrick. Both deceased. Elaine went to school at Fifth Avenue High but only got as far as the 9th grade when she became pregnant with her first born, Tracy Rennita (Hardrick) Allen, in 1965. She was still under the care of her mother, Roberta. She and Roberta helped each other to raise Tracy. Elaine gave birth to her second child, Toni Roberta (Hardrick) Carlo in 1978. This inspired her to go back to school in 1979 where she received her GED. When Roberta developed Parkinson's disease and Cataracts, Elaine was right there to help her mother. They took care of each other as well as Tracy and Toni until the passing of Roberta Hardrick in 1985. Elaine loved music, dancing, learning, and family. Elaine did not travel much but in the late 90s she moved to San Diego to help Tracy with her children while Tracy‘s husband was active duty military and away, Tracy had a business to run and Elaine was there to help. Elaine stayed in San Diego until the early 2000s but then moved back to Pittsburgh. Shortly after returning to Pittsburgh is when she met her husband, Mr. Walter Williams. In 2017 Elaine suffered a diabetic coma and went into ManorCare nursing facility. The medication that she was on cost her to have early dementia. She had a number of health issues that overtime progressively worsened. Elaine had resided in Manorcare on Negley Avenue since 2018. On November 20, 2021, she was found unresponsive and pronounced dead around 4:47 PM EST. Joyce Elaine Hardrick Williams' children and grandchildren are... Tracy Allen‘s children Taja Vinea (Allen) Finklea 29 and David Craig Allen, Jr. 26 Toni Carlo’s children Idris Carlo Jr. 21, Imoni Carlo 18, Persia Kindinis 13, Antoine Carlo 7 & Damon Carlo 6 No great-grandchildren.
