Ruth O. Jarrett, 95 of Charleston died November 24, 2021at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center in St. Albans. She retired from Union Carbide and was a former employee of Morris Harvey College. She was also a former Health Aide for Senior Citizens Home Health Care in Charleston and was a former employee of Owens Illinois Bottling Plant in Charleston. She was a longtime member of Open Door Apostolic Church, Charleston. She was preceded in death by Husband: Robert C. Jarrett, Parents: Milard & Eliza Jane Cooper Scott, Sisters: Isabella Conn, Minerva Carter, Marie Sullivan and Mildred Mullins, Arwanna Eddy and Brothers: Virgil, Willis, Sebert, Paul, Howard and Vincent Scott. Surviving Are: Son: Michael C. Jarrett of Murfeesboro, TN, Daughter: Linda Whittington, Granddaughter: Nikie Mennick both of Montana, Nephews: Rick Scott of Charleston and Steve Scott of St. Albans. Graveside service and burial will be 1 p.m. Monday November 29, 2021 at Marmet Cemetery with Rev. Chris Sowards officiating. There will be no visitation Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet is in charge of arrangements. Michael would like to thank everyone who attended her services or sent condolences to the family.
