Anthony “Tony” Joe Stanley, 62, of Robards, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Lucy Smith King Care Center.
He was born in Evansville on May 30, 1959.
He was an ordained minister for 30 years with The Assemblies of God and continued his love of teaching as a math teacher later in life. He attended One Life Church in Henderson and enjoyed studying the Bible, traveling, and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Jane (Crowley) Stanley.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Tammy Stanley; children, Josh Stanley (Kelsey) of Henderson and Kyla Ford (Matthew) of Evansville; sister, Melody Thompson (Rick) of Robards; three grandchildren, Briar, Kaecyn, and Rosey; niece, Jasmine Elzy (Josh West); nephew, Caleb Thompson (Sarah); great nieces and nephews, Dylan West, Calvin West, and Ella Thompson; and lots of friends and family.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 29, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Pastor Ryan Nunn officiating.
Burial will follow at Fernwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, November 28 from 2:30-6 p.m. and on Monday, November 29 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Josh Stanley, Caleb Thompson, Josh West, Rick Thompson, Matthew Ford, and Dylan West.
