MATHIESEN, Greta E. (Nielsen), 91, of Bradenton, FL, passed away on November 23, 2021. She was born in New York, NY to Theodore and Doris (Gundersen) Nielsen. Before her retirement in 1982, Greta was a legal assistant with Segal and Segal. She had many interests one of which included the arts; she loved going to plays, museums, loved to paint, go shopping, and enjoyed spending time with friends playing cards. She will be missed by so many who knew and loved her. Greta was predeceased by her first husband, Matthew Bonanno, and also by her second husband, Alf Mathiesen. Also predeceased by her son Paul in 2013. Devoted mother to Troy Bonanno and his wife Kimberly, Barbara Robeson and her husband Mike, and Debra St. Martin and her husband Paul. Cherished grandmother of Nicholas and Kiersten Bonanno, and Matthew Robeson. Loving sister of Mark Nielsen and his wife Lily. She also leaves behind her loving nephews, Gary, Glen and his wife Leslie Nielsen, and his niece Gail Nielsen Inzer. Also survived by two grand nieces, and 3 grand nephews. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at 11:30 AM at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
