Emma B. Eck, 82, formerly of Montoursville, passed away on November 24, 2021 at Promedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Jersey Shore.

She was born July 28, 1939 in Loyalsockville, PA, daughter of the late Homer and Rebecca (Smith) Braunbeck.

Emma graduated from Montoursville High School and Lycoming College. She retired as an Elementary School Teacher from Montoursville Area School District. She was a member of Mill Creek United Methodist Church. She previously attended Hoffman United Methodist Church and was their long-time organist and pianist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Phillip F. Eck; daughter, Michelle A. McCusker; son, Marc A. Eck; and brother Orval Braunbeck.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Lindsey Marie Eck McCusker Soha; four great-grandchildren, Noah, Miles, Rory, and Paisley Soha; sister-in-law’s, Carol Braunbeck, and Mary Ann Lewis; and numerous beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

At Emma’s request there will be no services.
