Dan Stouffer Obituary

Dan Stouffer, age 77 of Jacksboro passed away Wednesday November 24, 2021. He was born December 12, 1943 to Howard and Betty Stouffer in Columbus, Ohio. As stories have been told he was a curious, determined, and mischievous child and teenager. His interests were mostly working on cars and spending time with family. His father taught him carpentry skills and over time he came to work with him. Later he went to school to learn a trade, tool and die, and onto working for a company. Through time things changed and he and his dad decided to move to Tennessee in 1973. So our families packed up and have been here some 48 years. Here they started a business building houses. With the uncertainty of the home market Dan took a job with “Masco” in 1979, otherwise known as “BSH”. After 30 plus years he retired in 2011 to be home with his Mom, they had lost their husband/father in 2010. He enjoyed showing his “Silver King” tractor at antique shows, spending time with his family, his grandchildren would light his eyes up to be magical. He enjoyed woodworking and being outside just among the many other things he done. The last few years he had taken on the job of building ramps for people in Campbell County with disabilities, a program that was a blessing to many. He was a jack of all trades, and master of everything. He touched so many lives with his words of wisdom, courage, and hope. He is going to be missed by so many. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his father Howard Stouffer, and brother-in-law Leon Fullock.
