Leon Legrand Hyman

MANNING – Leon Legrand Hyman, 85, husband of Alice Joyce Hyman, died Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at McLeod Hospice House. Born January 12, 1936, in Pamplico, he was a son of the late Troy Hyman and the late Pearl Cox Hyman. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, a Mason, and he was a member of Manning First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of Manning; a son, Allen Hyman (Michele) of Manning; a daughter, Janie Hyman Geraldsen (Steve) of Penryn, CA; four grandchildren, Stephanie Colon (Victor) of Maryland, Hazen Williams of Jacksonville, FL, April Williams of Manning and Allie Hilti (Grant) of Denver, CO; two great grandchildren, Sophia & Isabel Colon; a brother, Dick Hyman (Verna) of Kentucky; and a sister, Barbara Hartfield of Sumter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennifer Renee Mikkelson; and a sister, Kathryn Thomas. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Manning First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Phillip Reynolds and the Rev. John Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at Clarendon Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tommy Stone, Michael Thomas, Joey Hartfield, Jamie Hartfield, Hazen Williams, Charles Hartfield and Kenneth Hartfield. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at Manning First Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Manning First Baptist Church, 49 W. Boyce Street, Manning, SC 29102, or to Clarendon County Disabilities and Special Needs Board, P.O. Drawer 40, Manning, SC 29102. Stephens Funeral Home & Crematory, 304 N.
