<p>Kenneth Marshal Kenner, 92, of Oakland, MD, has gone home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home, Oakland.</p><p><br></p><p>Born May 29, 1929, in Phoenix, MD, he was the son of the late Marshal Clark Snyder and Susanna (Brenneman) Kenner-Winkler. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Carol Kenner.</p><p><br></p><p>Kenneth retired as a greeter at Walmart in Oakland and was also worked as a Garrett County Corrections officer for many years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the (USASC) Army Signal Corps. Kenneth was a member of the National Rifle Association and attended Mt. Lake Independent Baptist Church.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his daughter, Marsha Carol James and husband, Larry “Butch”, Mt. Lake Park, MD; three grandchildren, Krystle Dumire and husband Jason, Eglon, WV; Carol Ann James-Hauger and husband, Josh, Oakland; Jonathan James, Oakland; five great grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Dr., Oakland, MD, 21550, on Monday, November 29, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Services will follow visitation in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Flanagan Hill Cemetery, Red Creek, WV.</p><p><br></p><p>Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306 or Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32256.</p><p><br></p><p>Condolences may be sent to the family at www.newmanfuneralhomes.com.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
