Obituary
Kenneth Marshal Kenner, 92, of Oakland, MD, has gone home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home, Oakland.
Born May 29, 1929, in Phoenix, MD, he was the son of the late Marshal Clark Snyder and Susanna (Brenneman) Kenner-Winkler. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Carol Kenner.
Kenneth retired as a greeter at Walmart in Oakland and was also worked as a Garrett County Corrections officer for many years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the (USASC) Army Signal Corps. Kenneth was a member of the National Rifle Association and attended Mt. Lake Independent Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Marsha Carol James and husband, Larry “Butch”, Mt. Lake Park, MD; three grandchildren, Krystle Dumire and husband Jason, Eglon, WV; Carol Ann James-Hauger and husband, Josh, Oakland; Jonathan James, Oakland; five great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Dr., Oakland, MD, 21550, on Monday, November 29, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Services will follow visitation in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Flanagan Hill Cemetery, Red Creek, WV.
