A Cox’s Creek resident Mrs. Geneva Ann Thompson age 84 passed away Wednesday November 24, 2021 at her residence. Geneva was born October 22, 1937 in Bardstown to the late Raymond Wilson and Agnes McNabb Settles. She was a retired clerk for the North Nelson Water Co. She was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, where she was a former member of the Bereavement Committee and Alter Society. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Albert Bert Thompson, and 2 infants. Geneva is survived by 2 sons Martin (Lisa) Thompson of Bardstown, Thomas Raymond “Ray” (Michele) Thompson of Louisville, 4 daughters Theresa (Harold) Aldridge of Cox’s Creek, Barbara (Wendell) Thompson of Bardstown, Mona (Bill) Taylor, Becky (Anita) Thompson both of Cox’s Creek, a sister Sharon Wathen of Bardstown, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive. A Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Geneva Ann Thompson will be 11:00am Saturday November 27, 2021 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church with Father Kien Nguyen officiating. Burial will be in St. Gregory Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 3:00-8:00pm with 5:00pm prayers, additional visitation will be Saturday from 8:30-10:30am at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home. The family requests contributions to be made to St. Gregory Church Cemetery Fund. The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home 1475 New Shepherdsville Road is in charge of arrangements.
