Imogene N. Crowder Obituary

Imogene N. Crowder, 93, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on November 24, 2021.

She was born June 22, 1928, in Bearden, to Whitlow and Lola Doherty Neves.

She graduated from Camden High School in 1946, from Ouachita Baptist University in 1950 and finished with a master’s degree in teaching from Auburn University.

She was a teacher for 27 years between the Dollarway and Watson Chapel school districts where she taught English and Humanities, before retiring in 1987.

She was currently a member of First Baptist Church in Pine Bluff and was a past member of Matthews Memorial Baptist Church, where she taught the adult ladies’ class, past member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a past member of ABWA, Progressive Chapter, where she served as president and was woman of the year and the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association.

She enjoyed reading, camping, and doing needle point.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Brumice L. Crowder, whom she married on May 17, 1952, in Fordyce, and her parents.

Survivors include a son Dan (Cindy) Crowder of Pine Bluff.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 28, 2021, 2 to 4 p.m. at Robinson’s.

Graveside funeral service by Ralph Robinson & Son will be Monday, November 29, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Thornton officiating.
