Robert “Bob” Chapman Jr., age 52 of Green Camp passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at home. Bob was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky on January 18, 1969 to the late Robert Sr. and Mabel (Boysel) Chapman. Growing up with a father in the army, Bob often moved around, eventually, his family settled in Prospect, Ohio. Bob was enrolled in Elgin High School and during his junior math class, he set in front of Rhonda Sisson. Rhonda would often poke Bob with her pencil which started a lifelong friendship and eventually turned into marriage. The two were wed on October 20, 1990; Rhonda survives. When Bob was younger, he worked as a maintenance specialist for The Eaton and Dana Corporations. He also was employed at International Harvester in Springfield. Always full of useless information, Bob could out-wit anyone in the room. His ability to joke made him the life of just about any party. When Bob wasn’t spending time with his family, he could often be found with his two dogs, Hubert and Wilbert by his side or playing World of Warship or hockey on his computer. He enjoyed volunteering at the local food pantry and rooting for The Buckeyes, Steelers, Penguins and Yankees. Bob will be missed by his wife, Rhonda; sons, Logan Chapman of Green Camp and Johnathan (Ashley) Chapman of Forest; grandchildren, Jaden, Jameson, Jackson, and Judson; sister, Melanie (John) Waltermyer and their son, Matthew Chapman.In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by infant brother, Eric Chapman; and grandparents, Hank and Tessie Boysel, Dane Chapman, Helen Chapman, and Bess Chapman. Visitation will be held at Snyder Funeral Homes, Gunder/Hall Chapel on Monday, November, 29, 2021 from 12 noon until 2 pm. A funeral will be held at 2 pm with Celebrate Galen McLeod officiating. Burial will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery.
