Corrine M Mack

Corrine Wiest-Mack of Balta, ND passed away on November 19, 2021 at the age of 72 with loved ones at her side. Corrine was born May 10, 1949 to John and Katharina (Klein) Wiest in Harvey, ND. She grew up on the family farm near Selz, ND. She attended the Selz and Harvey schools graduating in 1967. She married Neil Mack on June 16, 1967. They were blessed with 3 sons: Tyrone, Troy & Trevor. Tyrone passed away on August 25, 2010. Over the many years of marriage they lived in many states: North Dakota, Nevada, Arizona, Minnesota, Wyoming and Alaska as caretakers of a Lighthouse. Corrine worked many years as a furniture salesperson. They owned and operated gift stores in Wyoming and Medora for many years, eventually selling it to their son, Troy. They loved their traveling adventures and retired to the Mack family farm in Balta. Her husband, Neil, resides at the Garrison Nursing Home. He is not able to attend services due to his health. Her most important roles were as a wife, mother and grandmother. Coming from a large family, her roles were ingrained at a very early age. She was a great cook; no doubt, learning at her mother’s side. She enjoyed gardening and loved her little dogs. Not every woman looks good in hats but Corrine could pull it off with flair at every occasion. Corrine was incredibly talented with many instruments, piano being her favorite and had the voice of an angel. She shared that talent from a very young age in many areas of her life. She was an active member of the Balta Church Choir. Her angelic voice now praises God in the Heavenly Choir. Her faith and love of God carried her through the hardships of life. Her voice and humor will be missed by many.
