<p>Elizabeth J. Wilson, 92, of Ballston Spa, NY passed away peacefully at home on November 20, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.</p> <p>Elizabeth &ndash; known as Betty to family and friends &ndash; was born on May 17, 1929 in Schenectady, NY the daughter of the late Ludwick and Jean (Przekop) Sokolowski.</p> <p>After graduating from Mont Pleasant High School in 1947, Betty began a fulfilling career in Human Resources with General Electric, retiring after 31 years of service. Betty continued her dedicated service to the GE organization through her role as an officer and board member of the GE Athletic Association (GEAA), the GE Women&rsquo;s Club (GEWC), and the GE Retired Employees Association (GEREA). She was a LORE and strong supporter of the Rotterdam Elks Club special projects dinners. She will be remembered for her fun loving, warm hearted energy and enthusiasm for life, passion for family, and a love for travel and adventure.</p> <p>Betty was predeceased by her life time love and husband John M. Wilson of 62 years. Together they enjoyed the birth of two, beautiful daughters, Carolyn Yager and Kathleen Plantz ( Joseph), four grandchildren, Eric Yager (Brenda), Amy Loucks (Dan), Jason Yager (April), Bryan Yager (Dana), and step grandson Joseph Plantz Jr, and four great-grandchildren, Nate and Noah Loucks, Dahlia and Theodore Yager, and step great grandson Joey Plantz. Betty is also survived by her brother John Sokolowski (Kathy) and several nieces and nephews she dearly loved.</p> <p>In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Lewis Sokolowski (Madeline) and her sister, Connie Gallup (Robert).</p> <p>A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 24th at Saint Joseph&rsquo;s Church, 231 2nd St, Scotia, NY, 12302 (masks required). Respects and condolences to the family can be made starting at 10 a.m. A mass will follow at 11 a.m.</p> <p>The burial will be held at Park Cemetery Sacandaga Rd, Scotia, NY immediately following mass.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, the family has asked memorial contributions be made in honor of Betty Wilson to St. Joseph&rsquo;s Parish, 231 2nd St, Schenectady, NY 12302 or The Rotterdam Elks Club, 1152 Curry Rd, Schenectady, NY 12306.</p> <p>The family wishes to express their sincerest appreciation for the care and compassion shown by The Community Hospice of Saratoga County to Betty and her family during their time of need.</p>

Elizabeth – known as Betty to family and friends – was born on May 17, 1929 in Schenectady, NY the daughter of the late Ludwick and Jean (Przekop) Sokolowski.
