<p>Wanda&nbsp;Sue&nbsp;Bridges,&nbsp;86, of Gray, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.&nbsp;A memorial service will be held&nbsp;at&nbsp;11:00 a.m. on&nbsp;Friday, November 26, 2021 at&nbsp;Hart&rsquo;s Jones&nbsp;County Chapel, with visitation one hour prior.&nbsp; Inurnment will follow the service at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Daughter of&nbsp;John Henry Harvey and&nbsp;Estelle&nbsp;Wilson, Wanda was born on August 2, 1935 in&nbsp;Macon.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;She worked in customer service and export sales&nbsp;in&nbsp;Kaolin&nbsp;Industry&nbsp;for&nbsp;20&nbsp;years.&nbsp;&nbsp; Wanda was an&nbsp;avid reader, especially when it came to Stephen King and James Patterson books.&nbsp; She enjoyed&nbsp;creating ceramics, puzzles, paint by numbers and going camping.&nbsp; She spent years collecting&nbsp;beanie babies and had a room full of them.&nbsp; More than anything, Wanda loved her family and her beloved&nbsp;furbabies.&nbsp;</p> <p>Wanda is survived by her sons, Michael&nbsp;Stephen Hardy, of&nbsp;Eatonton, Georgia&nbsp;and&nbsp;&nbsp;Wayne&nbsp;Eugene&nbsp;Hardy&nbsp;(Tracy), of Macon, Georgia;&nbsp;daughter,&nbsp;Jennifer&nbsp;Paige&nbsp;Benefield, of&nbsp;Eatonton, Georgia;&nbsp;grandchildren, Melissa Ann Enck&nbsp;(Jay), of Macon, Georgia, Christopher Robert Hardy (Amber), of&nbsp;Powder&nbsp;Springs,&nbsp;Georgia,&nbsp;Courtney&nbsp;Michelle Castillo&nbsp;(Jay), of&nbsp;Jacksonville, Florida; Paige&nbsp;Elaine Benefield, of&nbsp;Eatonton, Georgia, Brandy Nicole Edwards, of Charleston, South Carolina, Stacy Turner (Doug), of Gray, Georgia and Chris Tucker (Haven), of Gray, Georgia;&nbsp;eight&nbsp;greatgrandchildren; and former husband, Clarence Eugene Hardy, of Hawkinsville, Georgia.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her husband,&nbsp;Guy Melvin&nbsp;Bridges;&nbsp;daughter, Karen&nbsp;Elizabeth Tucker;&nbsp;baby daughter, Elizabeth Hardy; parents;&nbsp;and&nbsp;sisters, Marcheta&nbsp;Strayer Crawford,&nbsp;and Mary Joyce Pry.&nbsp;</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wanda&#39;s honor to Jones County Animal Services at 1015 Monticello Highway, Gray GA 31032.</p> <p>Hart&rsquo;s Jones County Chapel, Hart&#39;s Mortuary and Cremation Center, 307 Pecan Lane, Gray, GA 31032 has charge of the arrangements.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Obituary

Wanda Sue Bridges, 86, of Gray, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Hart’s Jones County Chapel, with visitation one hour prior.  Inurnment will follow the service at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.  

Daughter of John Henry Harvey and Estelle Wilson, Wanda was born on August 2, 1935 in Macon.   She worked in customer service and export sales in Kaolin Industry for 20 years.   Wanda was an avid reader, especially when it came to Stephen King and James Patterson books.  She enjoyed creating ceramics, puzzles, paint by numbers and going camping.  She spent years collecting beanie babies and had a room full of them.  More than anything, Wanda loved her family and her beloved furbabies. 

Wanda is survived by her sons, Michael Stephen Hardy, of Eatonton, Georgia and  Wayne Eugene Hardy (Tracy), of Macon, Georgia; daughter, Jennifer Paige Benefield, of Eatonton, Georgia; grandchildren, Melissa Ann Enck (Jay), of Macon, Georgia, Christopher Robert Hardy (Amber), of Powder Springs, Georgia, Courtney Michelle Castillo (Jay), of Jacksonville, Florida; Paige Elaine Benefield, of Eatonton, Georgia, Brandy Nicole Edwards, of Charleston, South Carolina, Stacy Turner (Doug), of Gray, Georgia and Chris Tucker (Haven), of Gray, Georgia; eight greatgrandchildren; and former husband, Clarence Eugene Hardy, of Hawkinsville, Georgia.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Melvin Bridges; daughter, Karen Elizabeth Tucker; baby daughter, Elizabeth Hardy; parents; and sisters, Marcheta Strayer Crawford, and Mary Joyce Pry. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wanda's honor to Jones County Animal Services at 1015 Monticello Highway, Gray GA 31032.

Hart’s Jones County Chapel, Hart's Mortuary and Cremation Center, 307 Pecan Lane, Gray, GA 31032 has charge of the arrangements.
