Alexander Scott Lukachik Stratford, Connecticut Obituary

Alexander Scott Lukachik

Our beloved Alexander Scott Lukachik unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 3:22pm. He was born in Bridgeport, CT on February 1, 1976. He leaves behind his 11 year old son Alex, the love of his life Valene Pires, his mother Lucie (Cristino) Lukachik, and his brother Scott. He also leaves Little Alex’s mom, Jackie Nieves, whom he shared twenty years with and was also supported by. Anyone who knew Alex or came into his presence was very drawn to him. Anywhere he went people would go out of their way to talk to him. It must have been that beard that he spent 30 minutes a day blow drying, flat ironing, gelling, and rubber banding. He was a gentle giant. You could find him pulling over his truck to help a turtle cross the road or nursing a bird back to health in his house because he was hurt. The simple joys in life are what really made him happy. Like going to his son's baseball game or hanging at home cooking and watching movies. One of his most fun pastimes was playing golf with his friends. He really loved the great outdoors. At family gatherings he enjoyed playing family games such as poker, cornnhole, and more. His son Alex was the light of his life. He was a very proud dad who wanted to do everything to make his son proud of him. The things they loved doing together most were playing video games, practicing baseball, and playing basketball. He enjoyed showing Little Alex new things like taking him on his first snowboarding trip, hiking at Bear Mountain, exploring NYC and Boston, and trips to Martha's Vineyard. He will be dearly missed by all who walked through his life. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Alexander and Ann Lukachik, maternal grandparents Manuel and Luisa (Cabeleira) Cristino, and his cousin Matthew Cristino. Alex is survived by his aunt Marie (Cristino) Rodrigues and her husband Albert; his uncle Mario Cristino and his wife Rosangela; his cousins, Charlene Cristino Matto and her husband Paul Ferreira and their children Nick Matto, Mia and Jake Ferreira; his cousins Albert Rodrigues, Ashley (Cristino) Pompa, and her husband Matt, Emma Cristino, Albertina Cristino; and many other cousins and friends which he loved dearly. He loved fiercely and deeply and we take comfort knowing that Alex is now at peace surrounded by light. We would like to say a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and medical staff in the IC Unit at Griffin Hospital. We are truly grateful for all you have done and your support through this difficult time. Visitation will be held at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford on Saturday November 27 between 9-12 p.m. Service is at 10 a.m. Please arrive early.
