Ronald Bryce Jordan Obituary

Ronald Bryce Jordan, the son of Bryce and Theresa (Giesinger) Jordan was born on August 22, 1954 in Rugby, North Dakota. He died at the age of 67 on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Trinity Hospital in Minot, North Dakota with his family by his side. Ron was born in Rugby and raised on the family farm. He attended school in Rugby and graduated from Rugby High School in 1972. After completing his education, he continued to do what he loved…farming and ranching. He attended a wedding dance and there his life had changed, as he discovered love at first sight on June 10, 1978. Soon after, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Rebecca Duchscher on February 24, 1979 in Rugby. They were blessed with three children, Jennifer, Jesse and Cassie and raised their family on the family farm. Ron’s life and love was his family, farm and ranch. He knew his cattle by looking at them and knew their tag number without looking at the tag. He taught his children how to run and operate every aspect of the farm. The life he led, was what he loved and was his passion in life. Work from sun up to sun down…if something needs to get done, get it done and get it done right. He retired from farming and ranching in 2016 and later went to work for Home of Economy when it came to Rugby. He enjoyed working for them, it kept him busy and he enjoyed everyone he worked with. He enjoyed gardening, watching football, and anything with his children and especially grandchildren. Ron is survived by his wife of 42 years, Becky of Rugby; his children, Jennifer (Jeff) Stewart of Rugby; Jesse (Rachel) Jordan of Bismarck and Cassie (Jeremy) Tofteland of Westhope; his grandchildren, Bryce and Noah Stewart, Wesley, Sawyer, Vincent and Hazel Jordan and Brielle and Madalyn Tofteland; siblings, James (Jennifer) Jordan of Eden Prairie, MN, Peggy (Dave) Johnson of Spokane, WA, Bonnie (Dave) Aaser of McVille and Cindy (Dale) Ludwig of Minot; in-laws, Deborah (Randall) Meduna, Dorothy (Charles) Vedvick, Brenda (Wilson) Graham, Colette (Rodney) Heilman, Lois (Joseph) Clark, John (Ann) Duchscher and Bonnie Duchscher; mother-in-law, Bernie Duchscher; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, John Duchscher; daughter-in-law, Mikala Jordan; Ken Jordan and grandchildren, Brooklyn and Braylon Tofteland; brother-in-law, Carl Duchscher and niece, Whitney Jo Ludwig. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29 at Little Flower Catholic Church in Rugby with burial in the church cemetery, Rugby. Father John Aerts, Celebrant.
