Arie J. Kaufman 70, of Sugarcreek, passed away at the Joel Pomerene Hospital on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. She was born on April 12, 1951, to the late Jonas A. and Ella (Weaver) Schrock. On August 16, 1980, she married Nelson Kaufman Jr. who survives. Together they shared forty-one years of marriage. Arie was a member of the Amish Church. In addition to her husband, Arie is survived by her daughter Mary Beth Kaufman of the home, two sons, Conrad (Karen) Kaufman of Sugarcreek and Wesley (Sara) Kaufman of Baltic; her six grandchildren, Corina, Austin, Landon and Bethany Kaufman; and Abby and Jody Kaufman; two brothers, Allen (Betty) Schrock and Sam (Lela) Schrock both of Millersburg; three sisters, Mary (Ivan) Miller and Effie (Phil) Troyer both of Sugarcreek and Lizzie Ann (Marion) Yoder of Big Prairie; and her sister-in-law Ina (late Raymond) Schrock of Millersburg and her brother-in-law Paul Schlabach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Bethany Joanne, her sisters Sarah Schlabach and Sylvia Schlabach, and her brother Raymond Schrock. Funeral services will be held at the Steven Jantzi residence, 1991 TR 444, Sugarcreek on Friday, November 26, at 9:00 a.m. with Bishop Josie Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Coblentz Cemetery. Friends may call at the Steven Jantzi residence after 5 p.m. on Wednesday and after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
