John E. Miller 87, of 5350 TR 118, Baltic, passed away suddenly at the Walnut Hills Nursing Home on Monday, November 22, 2021, after a period of declining health. John was born on August 26, 1934, to the late Emanuel and Mary (Mast) Miller. On March 17, 1959, he married Katie A. Yoder who preceded him in death on March 21, 2019. He was a retired woodworker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church where he was ordained as minister on April 30, 1974. John is survived by his seven children, Esta (Henry) Yoder of Baltic, Leon (Anna Mae) Miller of Millersburg, Lester (Alma) Miller of Baltic, Henry (Betty) Miller of Millersburg, Mary (Roman) Miller of Millersburg, Alma (Andrew) Yoder of Baltic, and Ada (Vernon) Stutzman of Baltic; son-in-law Ervin (Ella) Raber; 54 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; siblings, Roy (late Donna) Miller, Henry (late Mary) Miller, Andy (Alta) Miller, Lizzie Ann (late Levi) Miller, and Katie (Melvin) Smucker; brother-in-law Junior N. (late Edna) Miller; and sister-in-law Lovina (late Crist) Miller. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Ella Raber; siblings Crist Miller and Edna Miller; three grandsons, Lester Stutzman, Andrew Stutzman and David L. Miller; brother-in-law Levi Miller; and sisters-in-law Donna Miller and Mary Miller. Funeral services will be held at the Robert Raber residence, 5456 TR 118, Baltic, on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. with Bishop Henry Stutzman officiating. Burial will follow in the Stutzman Cemetery. Friends may call at the Robert Raber residence after 3 p.m. on Tuesday and any time on Wednesday.
