Robert “Bob” Leroy Turner Sr., 78, of Sterling passed away Nov. 19, 2021. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Bob was born in California to Lester and Blanch (Dillinger) Turner on April 7, 1943. He married Loretta Irwin on December 4, 1966 in Sterling, CO. They were married 55 years. Bob got his GED in Canon City, CO, and also his Associate of Applied Science from Northeastern Junior College. He loved reading western books, traveling with his wife, going to garage sales, and black hawk. He is survived by his sons Robert (Barbara) Turner Jr, of Lake Havasu City, AZ and Richard Turner of Sterling, CO; brother Richard Heggs; granddaughters Jessica (Moises) Renteria, and Alexandra Cudd of Lake Havasu City, AZ; grandsons Paige (Destiny) Turner of Atwood, CO, Christopher (Mikkey) Turner of Cheyenne, WY, and Dustin Hudson of Lake Havasu City, AZ; great-granddaughters Aubrey Renteria, Violet Turner, Iris Cudd, Delilah and Molly Turner; great-grandsons Lucas Renteria, Ayden Turner, Zeke Turner, Theodore Turner and Andrew Cudd. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Loretta Turner; parents Blanch Heggs and Lester Turner; and grandson Zachary Cudd.
