Carlos A. Gonzalez

Carlos A. Gonzalez, of Newburgh, entered into rest on Monday, November 22, 2021. He was 85. Son of the late Rodolfo de la Reinaga and Ana Vicenta Gonzalez, he was born on October 9, 1936 in San Miguel, El Salvador. Carlos was a self employed casket maker and upholsterer in Honduras. He was patient, mellow and had a passion for his children. He was a generous man, husband and father. He liked watching soccer especially a fan of the Barcelona Messi. Traveling the world to 36 countries he loved talking about his many adventures while working for Celebrity Cruise Lines. Survivors include his wife, Lidia Elvir; two sons, Sergio (Maria) Gonzalez and Oscar Gonzalez both of Newburgh; two daughters, Maria and Lourdes Gonzalez, both of Newburgh; twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Juan Carlos Gonzalez and a daughter, Marta Gonzalez. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Friday, November 26, 2021 at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh, NY 12550. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am, Saturday, November 27, 2021 at St. Patrick’s Church, 55 Grand Street, Newburgh, NY 12550. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor, NY.
