Angela Allegro

Angela Allegro, 101 of Windham Center, wife of the late Louis Allegro passed away Monday, November 22, 2021 at Windham Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Maria (Mascellino) Puccia.   Born on November 11, 1920 in Castelbuono, Sicily she came to the United States in 1953 and worked as a housekeeper for the State of Connecticut.  She was also a longtime parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Willimantic. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.  She is survived by her sons, Joseph Allegro of Willimantic and his fiancé, Sharon , Vincent Allegro and his wife, Donna of Tolland and Louie Allegro and his wife, Darlene of Lebanon; 7 grandchildren; Lane Allegro, Jaime Holder , Justin Allegro, Ryan Allegro, AJ Allegro, Nick Allegro and Devon Allegro; great grandchildren, Sydney Holder, Evan Holder, Theo Allegro, Juliet Allegro, Natalie Allegro, Lucas Allegro and Maria Allegro;  a brother, Salvatore Puccia and his wife, Giuseppina of Windham and their 4 children; 3 sisters, Francesca, Lena, Antonia in Italy and sisters-in-law, Giuseppina and Antoinette and her husband Tom, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Vincenzo and a sister, Maria.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Dec 3, at 10AM at St. Joseph Church 99 Jackson St, Willimantic. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. There are no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Church 99 Jackson St, Willimantic, CT. 06226.
