Richard Joseph Fluharty, 74, of Sistersville, WV died Friday, November 19, 2021 at his home while surrounded by family.

Richard was born November 2, 1947 in Sistersville, WV, son of the late Harold and Hazel (Cooper) Fluharty.

He was a retired truck driver for the Teamsters, a U.S. Marine, enjoyed fishing, graduate of Sistersville High School and loved his grandbabies.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy (Ison) Fluharty and four siblings, Jack Fluharty, Judy Edge, Dale Fluharty and Marion Fluharty.

Surviving are his four sons, Joe (Karen) Fluharty of Mineral Wells, WV, Richard (Tamara) Fluharty of Gahanna, OH, Lonnie Fluharty of Sistersville, WV and Michael Fluharty of Shadyside, OH; four sisters, Ruth (Clifford) Phillips of Sistersville, WV, Jean French of New Martinsville, WV, Kathy Krizo of Sistersville, WV and Sandy Fluharty of New Martinsville, WV; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Richard’s request there will be no services.
