Opal Olene Nunley "Honey Mom," 91, of Hampstead, MD passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021 at her home. Born January 4, 1930 in Bethpage, TN, she was the daughter of the late Oakley Leon Brooks and Mary Davis (Stamps) Brooks. She was the wife of the late Charles Curtis "Honey" Nunley, her husband of 60 years, who died in 2008. Mrs. Nunley was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Gallatin, TN. She enjoyed game shows, birdwatching, and playing cards. Surviving are daughters, Deborah K. Parsons of Hampstead, MD, Rebecca Lynn Fidler of Manchester, MD, Sandra Murray of Phoenix, MD; granddaughters, Stacey Lynn Gailey and her husband David and Lauren Nehus; grandsons, Curtis Fidler, Ryan Fidler, and Tommy Hayes; great-grandsons, Trey Gailey and his wife Bailey and Jared Fidler; great-granddaughters, Kaylin Gailey, Ashlee Fidler, and Jenna Fidler; and four great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 24, 2021, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 8:00 p.m. at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead with her grandson, Curtis Fidler officiating.
