Mr. Robert Lawrence McKinney, age 67, of Ekron, KY, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.  Mr. McKinney was born May 10, 1954, the son of Lawrence, Jr. and Helen (Taylor) McKinney.  He had many interests, but especially loved to golf, play poker, play guitar and cook.

Mr. McKinney was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Jody McKinney.  He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Madelaine McKinney; two daughters, Jennifer McKinney Betts and her husband, Mark, and Kristina “Krissy” Showalter; three grandchildren, Ian Betts, Korrine Johnson, and Nathaniel “Nate” Showalter; three step-children, Christopher Kurmay, James Kurmay and Katrina McKinney; 10 step-grandchildren; 6 step-great grandchildren; and two sisters, June Copeck and her husband, Charles, and Phoebe Wisnyai and her husband, Gary.

Funeral Services will be privately held for Robert’s immediate family.  Hager Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the family to aid with expenses.
