Patricia Shoemaker, 84, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021. She was born in Jasper, Arkansas, to Guy and Margaret Phillips.

Pat, or Patty, as she was known to family and friends, was raised in a big family. After graduating from high school, her father gave her $50 and she left for Kansas City, Missouri, where she would meet the love of her life and begin their journey together.

She was a successful real estate broker for 30 years. An avid Razorback basketball fan, she traveled to many conference tournaments and even to Hawaii where she and Bob would celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary and cheer on the Hogs! Patricia loved her children fiercely and was a strong advocate for them and then later her grandchildren. She was a cub scout den mother, a girl scout leader, and home room mom. She never missed a school or sports event that her children were participating in. She loved to cook for her family and friends and would whip up a batch of oatmeal raisin cookies on request! She took every opportunity to celebrate birthdays, graduations, or holidays.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert Shoemaker, and her four children, Carolyn Shoemaker, Stan Shoemaker (Grace), Kathy Shoemaker Hightower (Billy) and Steve Shoemaker (Tamiko); 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Jackie Humbard, of Springdale, Elaine Launderville, Garfield, Jane Shipman of Mountain View, Arkansas, one brother, John Phillips and his wife Wanda, of Jasper, Arkansas, and many family members and friends. She especially cherished her childhood friend and maid of honor, Jerry Lynn Brasel, with whom she had weekly phone calls that would last for hours, laughing and recalling their adventures together.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Col. Robert Allen Phillips whom she was very proud of for his military service and spoke of him often in her final days. She also was preceded by her daughter-in-law, Dianna Shoemaker.
