<p>Billy Iver Lindgren, 89, died peacefully at his home Nov. 18, 2021.</p> <p>Billy was born to Iver Frank and Katie&nbsp;Lindgren on Jan. 5, 1932 on Post Oak Creek just east of Indiahoma. The family of nine moved to Indiahoma in 1940 where Billy attended grade and high school. Billy enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving from 1952-1954 during the Korean War. He would serve in the Army Reserves until 1960. Billy began work on the pipeline after his discharge and met Marilyn Hart, wife of 56 years in Atwood, Illinois. There they raised three children as he worked as a construction superintendent until returning to his beloved Indiahoma in 1976. Billy would become a fixture in the community, committing himself to a 70-year membership at the First Baptist Church of Indiahoma.</p> <p>Billy was preceded in death by all of his siblings and dearly departed love of his life &quot;Murt&quot; in 2011. Billy is survived by his three children: Cindy Yoder of Atwood, IL; Willie Lindgren of Wahoo, NE and Jim Lindgren of Springer New Mexico and one sister, Elsie Lindgren Hood of Roswell, New Mexico. Billy&#39;s legacy includes his children, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.</p>
