Lee R. Honey, 78, of Saylorsburg passed away Friday November 19,2021 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest in Allentown. Lee was the loving husband of Sharon M. (Keiper) Honey. They had been married 59 years on November 1st. He was born October 18, 1943 in Pen Argyl, son of the late Ralph and Bernice (Kessler) Honey. Lee was a renowned welder and most of his life he was self-employed, but also applied his skills at the Former Herbert R. Imbt Stone Quarry in Bossardsville. He was also a member of the Pipe Fitters Union #524 in Scranton. He served our country with dedication and courage in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Lee was a member of the Bangor Church of the Nazarene We have been blessed with the presence of Lee in our lives. He will be deeply missed by his wife Sharon, his sons: Troy Honey and his wife Nancy of Kunkletown, Lee John Honey and his wife Jody of Kunkletown and Michael Honey and his wife Lisa of Bowmanstown, his daughters: Lori Martin and her husband Jim of Mertztown, and Bobbie Jo Maganza of New Jersey, his sisters: Joan Kresge of Effort and Barbara Fedorchick of Coaldale Twp., 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and one on the way. He was preceded in death by a son: Billy Jo, and four grandsons: Jason, Austin, Johnathon, Jeremy, and a brother David. Funeral Services will be held 11am Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the Gower Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., Gilbert, Pa. with the Rev. Dennis Williams officiating. Family and friends are welcome to offer condolences on Wednesday, November 24th from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home.
