Garden City- Letha Leeper, 94, died on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at St Catherine Hospital in Garden City. She was born on July 26, 1927 in Haskell County the daughter of Royal & Lottie “Pearl” (Wheeler) Yardley. She married Edward L. Leeper on January 19, 1955 at Garden City. He died on February 2, 1996.

Letha lived on the family farm until moving into Garden City in 1945. She worked at Duckwalls, Woolworth, City of Garden City and babysit along with being a homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church and attended Church Of The Nazarene. She was an avid bowler up to when she was 89 and a member of the Women’s International Bowling Congress. She also liked to go fishing and doing crafts.

She is survived by her Son- Alvin Leeper and Finance Jan Hagen of Garden City, Daughter- Jeanette Woolever of Wichita, 5 Grandchildren and 16 Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, 2 Sons- Edward Leeper and Derrin Leeper, Daughter- Rita Leeper, Grandson- Joshua Leeper, 1 Great-Grandson and 13 Brothers and Sisters.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday at Garnand Funeral Home with Rev Brian Wilson officiating. The service will be facebook live on Garnand Funeral Home facebook page. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Garden City. Friends may call from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at Garnand Funeral Home.
