<p>Joe Lee Tackett, 76, of Fort Gay, passed away on November 19, 2021, after a long battle with kidney failure.</p> <p>Joe was born on August 31, 1945, to Clarence Edward and Nina Richardson Tackett in Paintsville, Kentucky. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Randi Lynn Tackett, and brother Gene Tackett (Phyllis).</p> <p>Anyone who knew Joe knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Joe is survived by his wife Fannie Loral Tackett of Grafton, Ohio, three sons, Boyd Tackett (Lisa) of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Joe Tackett Jr. (Jen) of Elyria, Ohio, and George Matthew Tackett (Tiffany) of Grafton, Ohio; 14 grandchildren, Latisha, Kelli, Kelsea, Rose, Abigail, Lily, Mackenzie, Loral, Zack, Mason, Ethan, Jackson, Lincoln, Reagan and 10 great-grandchildren. Brothers, Harry Allen Tackett (Cindy) of Staffordsville, Kentucky, and Bill Franklin Tackett (Cyndi) of Grafton, Ohio; three sisters, Nina Sue Dooley (Jim) of South Webster, Ohio, Geraldine Rae Keeton (Darrell) of Brushy, Kentucky and Vicky Ilene McCullen of Clarksville, Tennessee.</p> <p>Joe was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. He worked at General Motors, and then helped build and establish Laurel Home Nursing with his beautiful wife, Fannie and sister-in-law, Cyndi. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned and always tried his best to support them. Friends may call in the Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. on Wednesdat November 24, 2021 from 11 AM until services at 1 PM with Rev, Ray Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township.&nbsp;</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, the family requests any monetary donations be made to Faith Baptist Temple in North Ridgeville, Ohio where the family has been members for many years (34361 Lorain Rd, North Ridgeville, OH 44039).
