Patricia J Standage Ravenna, Nebraska Obituary

Patricia J Standage

Patricia Standage passed away Nov. 19, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Pat was born 3/22/1936 to William and Clara (Ripp) Rochford. After graduating from Kearney High School, she attended Kearney State Teachers College. She taught elementary school at School District 88 and Pleasant Hill for 2 years. In 1957, she married Roger Standage, and they were blessed with 8 children and 63 years of married life together, while working on the family farm. Pat was very active in the community serving as a 4-H leader to many, on the Poole Women’s Club, Our Lady of Lourdes Altar Society, CCW catechism teacher, and the Quilt Guild in Kearney. She was a beautiful seamstress, and a wonderful cook. Her lawn was immaculate and her flower garden was oh so colorful. In her final years of living with Alzheimer’s, Country House became her new home and they loved her so well. We shared many activites, stories and memories there together with her. She leaves to mourn 8 children: Lori (Larry) Buchmann of Lincoln, Bob (Krystal) Standage of Colby, KS, Sharon (Diane) Standage of Leona Valley, CA, Scott (Melinda) Standage of North Platte, Doug (Barb) Standage of Elmwood, Mark (Heidi) Standage of Ravenna, Kevin Standage of Ravenna, Matt (Shannon) Standage of Lincoln. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, sister Dee Keaschall of Ravenna, brothers Bill (Jan) Rochford of Kearney and Dan (Lou) Rochford of North Platte, and many nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her husband Roger, parents William & Clara Rochford, and sister Mary Valentine. Funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Ravenna on Tuesday, Nov. 23rd at 10:30 a.m. with Father Richard Piontkowski celebrating. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery in Ravenna. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, Nov 22nd at the church, with a wake service & rosary beginning at 7:00. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Roger & Pat Standage Memorial Scholarship fund. Online condolences can be directed to www.rasmussenfh.com.
