Patricia Ann Sniezek Obituary

Patricia “Pat” Ann (Perzan) Sniezek Pat passed away on November 17, 2021. Born January 25, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois; she was welcomed into the world by her parents Frank Perzan and Mildred (Rzeno) Perzan and joined her older brother, Robert. Their family lived and grew up in the northwest side of Chicago. Pat graduated from Alvernia High School in 1957. She continued her education at Loyola College, attending evening classes through 1960. On September 17, 1960, she married the love of her life, Don Sniezek and they moved to Des Plaines, Illinois. Their beautiful union was blessed with her three beloved children: Don, Cyndi and Lynn. While raising the children, Pat joined Des Plaines City Hall and worked in various roles for many years. After retiring, Pat continued her contributions to the city of Des Plaines by working at the chamber of commerce for several years. First and foremost, in her life, was Pat’s love of family and faith. Pat deeply valued her many relationships and friendships that she established over the years. She was passionate about reading and watching her favorite show, Jeopardy. Pat loved to get together with her family, go for walks and have breakfast dates with her former co-workers. In 2010, after spending 49 years in the same home in Des Plaines where they built life-long friendships, Don and Pat moved to Huntley (Sun City), Illinois making new memories with even more friends. In 2020, they moved to The Moorings in Arlington Heights, IL. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her brother Robert Perzan. She is survived by her husband, Don Sniezek, and her three children: Don Sniezek (Haslina), Cyndi Sniezek (Amy Kirkpatrick), and Lynn Fairhead (Tom); four grandchildren: Johann Sniezek, Monet Sniezek, Matt Fairhead and Kim Fairhead; and two grand puppies: Sam and Mila. A Celebration of Life and inurnment at St. Emily’s Church, 1400 E. Central Road, Mt. Prospect, IL 60056, is scheduled for Saturday, November 27, at 10:00 a.m. with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Semper Fi & America's fund at https://semperfifund.org/donate/ or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at https://www.stjude.org/ .
