Patricia Ann Chipps of Steubenville passed away at the Weirton Medical Center on Wednesday, November 17. She was 65 years old. She was born in Wheeling on March 17, 1956, a daughter of the late George and Marybelle Barnhart Northcraft. Patricia was a 1975 graduate of Brooke High School. Her friends knew Patricia as a kind, generous person, never knowing a stranger, doing God’s work on Earth. Patricia dedicated her life and nourished her faith at the Salvation Army for over 60 years. During her membership, she held the vital duty of Lodge Keeper. Her responsibilities were to make sure that those in need would have a hot meal, clothes if needed, and a warm place to sleep. She also found great joy in teaching her Sunday School Class and belonging to the Home League, the Salvation Army’s social group, holding the secretary position and being in charge of the meeting for 30 years. Remembering Patricia with love and affection is her husband of 37 years, Robert E. Chipps of Steubenville, whom she married on June 18, 1984, her son Ryan Chipps of Steubenville, brother George Northcraft, Jr., sisters Cheryl (Bill) Allison of Colliers and Lorrie (Junior) McQuillian, sister-in-law Rosana Therminy and brother-in-law James (Tammy) Chipps. Friends and family will be received on Sunday from 6-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, where services will be held at 11 AM Monday.
