Karl Thomas Matz
18 June 1931 – 18 November 2021
Born in Appleton, Wisconsin, to Robert F. and Mary E. O’Keefe Matz. He was a CU-Boulder graduate, Korean War USAF veteran, training officer with the City and County of Denver, former president of the Sister Carmen Center Board, and a Roman Catholic permanent deacon. His wife Mary Ann preceded him in death; they are survived by their children Allison Mahlberg (Ben), Nicholas Matz (Nancy Tsang), Dina Siegel (Herb), Andrew Matz (Liz), Kristin Quadracci (Jay) and Angela Matz-Payer (David) and grandchildren Logan and Kieran Matz, Nia and Stiano Quadracci, and Jasmine Huff and Josilyn Miller.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Martin de Porres Church, Boulder, on December 4 at 1 p.m. with interment later in Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery, Boulder.
