Keith Gerow

<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:14px;">Keith Harold Gerow passed away on November 17th from natural causes at Shuswap Retirement Lodge in Salmon Arm BC six weeks before his 102nd birthday.&nbsp; He was born December 24th 1919 in Melfort Saskatchewan to Annie and Archibald Gerow. He completed grade four by correspondence on the family homestead after the family moved to northern Alberta. He went out to work for farmers in his early teens and quickly became an accomplished Teamster. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Engineers in WW2 until medically discharged in 1945. He bought a half section of land and went farming, He married Patricia Watts on November 1st 1947, He worked as a truck driver, logger, sawmill worker, heavy equipment operator, and in his later years built stone fireplaces and became a first-rate carpenter. Upon retirement you could find him on the golf course or at the curling rink if he wasn&rsquo;t renovating, building or fixing something for family or friends. Keith was an excellent dance partner and he and Pat were active in square and round dancing for more than fifty years. He is survived by his wife of 74 years Pat, sons Rod (Mern Genier), Don (Carol), Terry (Reneigh Leduc), Randy (Debbie Scott), Cam (Dianne Kinnear), eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Brother Lyle (Faye Watson), sister Olive Dufresne and many more cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
