John L. Webb

<p>John L. Webb, age 81, of Broken Bow, passed from this life on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on February 10, 1940, in Hochatown, Oklahoma to the late Luther Rastus Webb and Bertha Isabel (Fish) Webb.</p> <p>John proudly served our country in the United States Navy. He enjoyed working as a truck driver throughout his life. His hobbies included old cars and he was constantly working on stuff. John was well known for being a comedian and he had a large sense of humor. He loved making people laugh, and he would also make them mad sometimes with his jokes, but not intentionally. His passion, during the later years of his life, was Betty. They loved dancing and country music. John will be dearly missed.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, James Webb; and his sister Coy Powell.</p> <p>John leaves to cherish his memory Betty Chapman, of the home; children, Angela Young-Geffre and husband Darren of Albuquerque, NM, Johnny Ray Webb of Broken Bow, and Jason Webb and wife Teresa of Holly Creek; their mother, Doris Webb of Idabel; brother, David Webb and wife Geraldine of Valliant; sister, Doy Franklin of Lindsay; Pollye Pierce of New Hope; and Joy Kolb of Montana; grandchildren, Jennifer Jones, Blake Stocks, Chera Cox, Cameron Webb, and Allen Smith; thirteen great-grandchildren; and extended Chapman family, Kenlee Chapman and Rachel Chapman.</p> <p>The graveside service for Mr. Webb will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2021, at the Hochatown Cemetery pavilion with Bro. Jimmy Jeter officiating. Pallbearers will be Jason Webb, Johnny Webb, Robert Hudson, Allen Smith, Cameron Webb, Blake Stocks, and Christopher Jones.</p> <p>The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.</p>
