Agnes Lorene Long

On Thursday, November 18, 2021 Agnes Lorene Long, loving mother of 5 children, passed away at age 98. Lorene was born April 11, 1923 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to John and Margarett Lloyd. She worked several jobs in her lifetime from auto parts stores to being a unit clerk at Midwest Regional Hospital. On April 12, 1952 she married Carl Wesley Long. They raised 5 children: Carla, John, Mark, Lloyd and Sherri. Lorene had a passion for dancing; she taught country line dancing for many years at Midwest City Senior Center until she was 89 years young. Lorene believed everybody needed a hug in life; she served as a greeter at the Midwest Blvd. Christian Church. Nobody got past her without getting a hug! She had a strong faith in her Savior. She was a very positive woman, never had a negative attitude. Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, a brother, as well as her husband Carl Long. She is survived by her 5 children; 12 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 3 great- great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 27, 2021 at 10:00 am at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home. Flowers may be sent to 1820 S. Douglas Blvd., Midwest City, OK 73130.
