Funeral services for Mrs. Nada Lavon (Bright) Cearley, age 88, of Magnolia, AR, will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the First Baptist Church, McNeil, AR, with Rev. Ken Williams and Rev. Ed Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Taylor Memorial Cemetery, Taylor, AR under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021, from 12:00 pm until 1:30 pm at First Baptist Church, McNeil. Mrs. Cearley was born on October 10, 1933 to Granvel Newt Bright and Mildred Elizabeth Westmoreland Bright in Prescott, AR and passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021 in Magnolia, AR. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Magnolia and a retired forestry employee where she climbed a fire tower to watch for fires. She enjoyed traveling, sewing and crafts. She and her husband, Don Cearley, were a part of the Masters’ Builders for several years after retiring. This group travels and builds churches. The family enjoyed singing around the piano. She was a self-taught pianist and played for years while Mr. Cearley led music. She is survived by her son, David (Rowena) Cearley of Texarkana, TX; three daughters, Kelly (Ken) Williams of Mc Neil, AR, Lisa Toms of Warrensburg, MO, Jeana Cearley of Magnolia, AR; eight grandchildren, Kim (James Williams) Cearley, Aaron (Michelle) Williams, Jessica (David) Marker, Jennifer Williams, Monica (Dirk) McLelland, Russ (Sasha) Toms, Grant (Jerra) Toms, Rayli (Justin) Rose; thirteen great-grandchildren, Chloe Williams, Kaleb Cearley, Delayna Cobbins, Ethan Bobbit, Baylor McLelland, Josie McLelland, Grayson Marker, J.D. Marker, Andrew Marker, Amelia Marker, Blaikly Rose, Luke Rose, Eleanor Toms; and two sisters, Patricia Harwell and Susan Graham. Mrs. Cearley was preceded in death by her husband, Don Cearley, her parents, Granvel Newt Bright and Mildred Elizabeth Purifoy; granddaughter, Dana Cearley, great-grandson, John Russell Toms, Jr., brothers, Tommy Bryson, Eddie Ray Bryson; and sister, Kay Elizabeth Purifoy. Pallbearers will be Aaron Williams, Russ Toms, Grant Toms, James Williams, Dirk McLelland, David Marker and Justin Rose.
