Florence May Burlew, 89, of Horton passed away peacefully in her home under the care of family on November 15th, 2021. She was born May 8, 1932, in Algansee Twp. to Harold and Erma (McNutt) Petrie. Florence retired from General Motors where she worked in the sewing department for nearly 25 years. She also loved knitting, crocheting, bowling, and painting ceramics. However her greatest love was for her family, especially the pride she took in her grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Bonnie Palmeri, two daughters Cheryl (Gary) Gray, Linda (Chip) Shafer, 27 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her parents Harold and Erma, son Fay Lavern Jr, daughter Janice Ann, two brothers, two sisters, and her former husband Fay Lavern Burlew. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family burial will be held. Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Litchfield.
