Jon Paul LeJeune Crowley, Louisiana Obituary

Jon Paul LeJeune

It is with heavy hearts we share that on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 2:25pm, our fiercely beloved Jon Paul LeJeune of Beaver City, NE was called home to our Heavenly Father following a courageous and hard-fought battle against a sudden illness. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley, LA. Visitation may be observed from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Rev. Jimmy Broussard will officiate the Services. Raised in south Louisiana, Jon Paul was all about God, family, and food. He had a love for cooking and eating Cajun cuisine, and often shared his love of Cajun food with those he met on his travels. He never hesitated to strike up a conversation about God, and always encouraged those he met to find and love God, too. He did missionary work with children in Honduras and lived in places such as New Mexico, Oklahoma, Michigan, and Nebraska and took trips to California, Florida, Colorado, Nevada, and South Dakota. He was a nature lover, driving long distances just for a chance to jump into a river or an ocean, swimming trunks be damned. He loved the little things in life, like building a bonfire just because, and spending time in the mountains. He embodied living in the moment, even when it meant sliding down a waterslide while fully dressed in a nice button-down shirt and jeans at a birthday party, just because again. He appreciated the beauty in what God gave him, and he gave beauty back to the world in the beautiful children that he raised and the beautiful laughs that he shared with us all. Though his life was short, we find comfort in knowing that it was full and that no matter where his adventurous spirit led him, he always found his way back home to Louisiana. Jon Paul is survived by his loving wife, Lacey LeJeune of Beaver City, Nebraska and was a proud and doting father to his four surviving children: Jabin Michael Anthony LeJeune (14), Arianna Gabrielle Paul LeJeune (7), Gabriel James Louis LeJeune (6), Christian Elliot Abel LeJeune (2) and stepson, Jesse James Harris (16). Back in his beloved home state of Louisiana (who dat), Jon Paul is also survived by a close, loud, large, and loving family. Devoted parents - Mother and Stepfather, Toni S. and Robert Willingham of Opelousas, La. and Father and Stepmother, Timothy and Debra LeJeune of Crowley, LA. Siblings: brother, Brante and wife Kimberly LeJeune of Morse, LA; sister, Brandy and husband Travis Broussard of Abbeville, LA; brother, Dustin Benoit of Lake Arthur, LA; sister, Germaine Benoit and significant other Anthony Howard of Opelousas, LA.; step-sister, Ashley Guillot of Crowley, LA. Nieces and nephews: Lexus LeJeune, Hayden LeJeune, Cahli Broussard, Myles Broussard, and Harrison Benoit Aunts and uncles: Aunt Brenda and Danny Hebert; Uncle Lester Jr. and Kay Sauble; and Uncle Jared Sauble; and many close cousins.
