Ruth Prejeant, 78, a native of Chacahoula, LA. and resident of Labadieville, LA. passed away on November 17, 2021. A visitation will be held in her honor on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Labadieville, La. from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:15 pm. The burial will follow in the St. Philomena Catholic Church Cemetery in Labadieville, LA. Ruth is survived by her children, Chrystle (David) Pitre, Leslie Prejeant (Lester "TS" Lassere), and Troy Prejeant; grandchildren, Macy (Brandon) Gosser, T.J. Prejeant, and Samantha Prejeant; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Westerfield and Easton Gosser; sisters, Dolores Bourgeois, Ivy Mae Guillick, and Bonnie Stubblefield; brothers, Joseph Louviere (Unhi), Roy Louviere (JoAnn), and Ivy Louviere, Jr. (Mary). She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lester Prejeant; parents, Ivy Louviere and Dolores Guillot Louviere; brothers, E.J. and Louis Louviere; and sisters, Elodie Tyler, Ann McDonald, Phyllis Moore, Theresa Louviere, Juanita Bonvillain, and Elaine Louviere. Mrs. Ruth also known as "Momma Ruth" was a wonderful woman that never met a stranger and was well known around the tri parish area. She owned Nubby Ducks fried chicken restaurant and catering.
