James A Mullen Obituary

James Albert Mullen passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He was 74. James was born February 26, 1947 to the late Vernon Burns and Rosalee Carr Mullen in Ruleville, MS. He was a long time member of Celebration Fellowship. He loved Jesus and his beloved grandchildren, who he spent all of his time with. If there was one word to describe him, it would be: Loyal. He was loyal to Jesus, his family and the things he valued. He was a simple man, worked hard, and loved his family. James was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed by all. James was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Rosemary Roever, John Paul Mullen, Joe Dan Mullen, Charlie Mullen, Nancy Nichols and Vernon Lee Mullen. He is survived by his beloved wife, of more than 50 years, Pamela Mullen; his daughter, Christy Soloveichik (Sasha) of Jackson, MS; his sons, Benjamin Burns Mullen (Shannon) of Georgetown, MS and Jonathan Carr Mullen of Jackson, MS; sisters, Lavera Clark of Flora, MS and Terry Lynn Brown of Jackson, MS; grandchildren: Anna Soloveichik, Hannah Mullen, Mackenzie Mullen, Nathan Mullen and Trinity Mullen; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Sebrell Funeral Home with visitation Thursday night November 18, 2021 from 5 pm until 7 pm and Friday from 10 am until 11 am. Funeral service is Friday at 11 am with Pastor Shawn Earles officiating. Immediately following the service, interment is at Flora City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Diabetes Association.
