Jeanette DiCicco Of Saint John, Indiana Jeanette DiCicco, 97, of St. John, IN, formerly of Palatine, IL went to her heavenly home on November 13, 2021. Jeanette was born April 11, 1924 in Chicago to Frank and Alice (Peota) Gagliardo. She graduated from Foreman High School in 1942 and then worked at Mars Candy Company. After WWII, she married the love of her life, Albert DiCicco when he returned home from serving overseas with the Army Air Force. After raising their family in Chicago, Jeanette and Al resided in Niles and then Palatine before moving to Indiana. Many happy years were also spent at their lake house in Lake Dalecarlia, IN. They celebrated 68 years of marriage until the death of her beloved husband in 2014. Jeanette was currently residing at Park Place, St. John, IN where she enjoyed friends, needlepoint and was an artisan of many floral arrangements and craft projects. She remained active until her death and loved to face time with family, particularly her 12 great-grandchildren, and will be deeply missed. Jeanette was the loving Mother of Lynn (the late Jim) Spannan (Michael Fateley), the late Colette (Russ) Frazier, Randall (Rosemary) DiCicco, and Gary (Kristen) DiCicco; proud Grandmother of Julie (Christopher) Walkowiak, Brandee (Jeremy) Newell, Robert (Shari) Frazier, William (Kayley) DiCicco, Thomas (Nicole Vasquez) DiCicco, Justin (Krista) Frazier and Alyssa (fiance Stan West) DiCicco; beloved Great-Grandmother “GIGI” to Owen, Carter and Ty Walkowiak, Blake, Sophia, and Nolan Newell, Holden and Harper Frazier, Johnny, William, and Matthew Frazier and Celine DiCicco. Jeanette is also survived by her sister Vivian (Don) Ericksen, sister-in-law Lydia (the late Leroy) Giampoli, her brother-in-law Joe Peota; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins; She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Colette, sisters Sylvia (Jim) Steerup and Evelyn (Warren) Thompson, sister-in-law Loretta Peota and brother-in-law Louis (AnnaMae) DiCicco. Visitation Sunday, November 21, 2021, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights.
