Ronnie Allen "Al" Whitehead

Ronnie Allen “Al” Whitehead, 33 On Sunday, November 14, 2021, Al lost his battle with cancer at Vanderbilt and was called home to be with the Lord. He was 33 years old. Al was born September 10, 1988 in Pineville, Kentucky to Ronnie Elmer Whitehead. He fell in love and married Amanda Lee-Whitehead on August 31, 2007. Three years later, they welcomed one son into the world, Riley Aiden Whitehead. The greatest accomplishment of their lives. Al was many things throughout his life. He worked in the coal mines, following his father’s footsteps, straight from high-school and for the next 11 years. He then took his knowledge of machinery and his intelligence to college to become an industrial maintenance technician. In this career, he found his true calling. He worked for Baxter Foods in London Kentucky and was very content in the role and responsibility he had there. Although Al was a hard worker, he had a true passion for hunting. He never missed a chance to be in the woods, especially in a tree stand or blind to get his next buck. Above all the things that Al loved in his life, nothing came before his family. He was the most involved and loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He always took care of those who truly meant the most to him and put them before anything else. Al was preceded in death by his grandmother, Virgie Whitehead and his father-in-law, Charles Lee, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Amanda and son, Riley, his father Ronnie Whitehead, his sister Jennifer and her husband (Al’s right hand man) Raymond Wilder, his brother Jonathan Lee, his brother Joe Thomas Lee and wife Jessica, his nephews Jacob and Nathan Wilder, and his loving mother (in-law) Freda Lee. Al had made known that he wished to have no funeral, so there are no arrangements to be announced. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Whitehead family and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
