Marcus Edward Leggett, 36, of Wallace, went home to be with the Lord at 8:35pm, Monday, November 15, 2021 at the United Hospital Center, in Bridgeport. He was born in Clarksburg, November 21, 1984, a son of Ralph Edward and Rometta Lynn Carson Leggett, of Wallace. <br>Surviving are his three children whom he dearly loved, Rilynn, Paislee, and Gunnar Leggett; his brothers, Ralph Leggett and his wife Jennifer, Clarksburg, William Leggett and his wife Nichole, Haywood; his paternal grandparents, Edward and Patsy Leggett, Wallace, nieces and nephews, Maxon, Macie, Myles, Haleigh, and Mackenzie Leggett; his companion, Britney Chestnut; the mother of his children, Shondra Leggett, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins that he loved so much. Marcus was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Romeo and Phyllis Carson.<br>He loved hunting, fishing, and racing and was employed by Wolfe Escavating. Marcus never knew a stranger and enjoyed making people laugh. He was very family oriented and spent time helping his mother and father. His number one accomplishment was being a great dad and uncle. He loved the Lord and singing gospel music. He was a Christian by faith.<br>The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., from 2-8pm, Thursday where a funeral service will be held at 11am, Friday, November 19, with Pastors John and Sheila Napier officiating. Interment will be in the Robinson Cemetery in Wallace. The family request that masks be worn while in attendance of the services. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.perinefunerals.com.
