Marie Sweet, age 88, of Stanton, passed away at Golden Life Adult Foster Care in Greenville, on Monday, November 15, 2021. Marie was a member of the Hubbardston Area Historical Society and the Hubbardston American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed researching her genealogy, reading, and playing games on her Kindle. Marie will be missed by everyone who knew her. Surviving Marie are her daughters, Kathy (Bryan) Mills of Stanton, Gail (Deo) Winsor of Maple Rapids, Susan Sweet of Carson City; son, Gary (Joan) Sweet of Grandville; grandchildren, Jennifer (Dan) Clark, Kelvin (Ashley) Patterson, Dan (Janelle) Lambert, Jodi (Mick) Weese, Craig (Tracy) Patterson, Amanda (Micky) Vaughn, Paul (Ashly) Sweet, Darren Sweet; 17 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; and her sister, Yvonne (Don) Larsen of Altamonte Springs, Florida. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence & Wilma (Carr) Marion and her husband, Bill Sweet. Marie’s life is being celebrated on Friday, November 19, 2021, at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main St.). Visitation will be from 9 to 11 AM with a funeral service beginning at 11 AM. Private graveside services will be held later.
