<p><strong>A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Brenda Ann Olivier on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Fr. Clint Trahan will celebrate the mass. Rite of Committal will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.</strong></p> <p><strong>A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Friday evening.</strong></p> <p>Brenda, age 62, a resident of Port Barre, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021.</p> <p>Brenda was born and raised in Texas and spent her life happily raising her family in Louisiana with the love of her life, Kenneth. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her purpose in life was to care for her loved ones. Brenda was the most selfless person especially when it came to everyone else. She left this earth with her purpose fulfilled and she will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.</p> <p>Brenda is survived by her daughters, Hollie Olivier of Port Barre, and Shannon Ortego of Opelousas; brother, Keith Ardoin and wife, Mary of Dickinson, Texas; sister, Debra Reichstein and husband Barry of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Ethan Barron, Kadin Ortego, and Sania Ortego.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth James Olivier, and her parents, Elton and Elaine Ardoin.</p> <p><strong>Visitation will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre. The funeral home will open again Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. until time of service.</strong></p> <p>The family of Brenda would like to give special thanks to the entire staff at The Carpenters House of St. Joseph Hospice for their care and compassion.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to the family to help with funeral costs.</p> <p>Words of Comfort to the family may be expressed at www.sibillefuneralhomes.com.
