Roberta Lee Davis, 67, of Fairmont passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Rosewood Center in Grafton. She was born September 20, 1954 in Mullens, WV, the daughter of the late Robert Carlyle Davis and Neva Lorrenne Baughman Davis Eddy. Robert was sadly killed in an accident when Roberta was very young and she was raised with the help of her wonderful stepfather, Homer Eddy.

Roberta graduated from East Fairmont High School and studied dog grooming in New York. She worked as a groomer for many years and owned Roberta’s Dog Grooming. Roberta had a special connection with dogs and made them her life’s work.  She enjoyed to read, draw, and paint. She also raised and showed standard Poodles.

Roberta is survived by three children, Adam Long of Bremerton, WA, Derrick Long and wife, Shannon of Gallivant’s Ferry, SC, and Erick Long and wife, Jessica of Redding, CA, one brother, Eric Eddy of Jonesborough, TN, grandchildren, Neva, Ethan, Madison, Madeline, Maddox, and Eliza Long; as well as several special nieces and nephews. Roberta also leaves behind her best friend since middle school, Sharon Merill of Fairmont, WV.

The Family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Roberta’s cousin, who also survives, Stephanie Wilson, who was there to see her through her most trying times.
