DARRELL ANTHONY HAYES, SR.

A Native of Convent and a resident of Gonzales. He passed away peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his beloved family, on Saturday, November 13, 2021. He was 60. A Walk-Thru Public Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:20 a.m. at The Christian Assembly Full Gospel Church, 42158 LA-941, Gonzales, Dr. Richard Rayborn, II, Pastor, Pastor Rowdy Kennard Scott, Sr., of the King Solomon Baptist Church in Lutcher, Officiating. Religious Services begin at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Convent. Masks and Social Distancing Will Be Practiced At All Times. Survived by his mother, Betty Banks Hayes. His Wife, Theila Davis Hayes. Daughter, Tiara (Malcolm, Sr.) Babin. Son, Darrell Hayes, Jr. Sisters, Terri (Norman) Russell and Shellie Hayes. Brother, Irvin (Shandrika) Hayes, Jr. Four grandchildren, KeShaun Bridgewater, Assata Hayes, and Maxwell and Malcolm Babin, Jr. Aunts, Geraldine (Andrew) Dunn, and Laverne (Joseph) McKinley, Sisters-in-law, Shelia Jacque and Lola Lewis. Brothers-in-law, Allen Jacque and Edwin Davis. Also numerous neices, nephews, cousins, godchildren, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his father, Irvin Hayes, Sr. Father and Mother in law, Alexander Davis and Irma Jacque. Uncles, Lloyd, Nolan, Melvin and Richard Banks, Sr. Aunt, Melba Taylor.
