Christopher Raymond Philips Obituary

Christopher Raymond Phillips, 35, of Crownsville, Maryland, died suddenly on Saturday November 13, 2021. Chris is survived by his Mother, Jeanine Phillips; Father, Ray Phillips, Eddie Catterton; Raymond's twin sister Ramona Glorioso, Gina, Anna and family Betty and Tommy Harris, Linda Terry Darr and family, Cathy Slicker, Tammy, Mike and family Georgia, Johnny and Josh family Georgia Cox And many Aunts & Uncles; Cousins, Brandon, Heather, Jim, Joe, Kendal, Matthew, Stasia, & Steven; & his Godsons, Luca Duffy & Lucas Given. Chris was a wonder on the basketball court. Fast, fluent and feisty, he could make “buckets” like a pro. He stayed rocking basketball shorts and his face came alive with joy after a successful game with his friends. He had a tough exterior at times, but a heart of gold. He loved jamming out to emo music and driving his truck (one of many) When Chris’ best friend passed away this year, he took care of his Godson, Luca as if he were his own. He lived for loving that little boy and making him smile. He also loved watching his other Godson, Lucas, grow up and always spoke of him and his intelligence with pride. He was good with his hands and could fix or remodel a little bit of everything. He spent years helping to improve the homes of his clients, but he loved helping his friends and family especially. He knew the importance of a secure home, filled with love and he went above and beyond to give that to others. Chris watched every season of Game of Thrones at least 10 times, probably more. He loved the deeper meaning behind that show, which spoke to his values of loyalty, honor, friendship, love, humor and sacrifice. He was a friend who could be counted on and he would show up no matter what. There aren’t many people like that in this world, loyal to the core, but Chris was remarkably selfless. His efforts and labors of love will continue to live on through every life that he touched.
